RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Zhengxin LIU received BSc from Department of Optical Physics, Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, China, in 1989, and MSc and PhD from Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He has been then working at System Engineers Co., Ltd. Tateyama Kagaku Industry Co., Ltd., and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. Since 2010, he has been appointed as “1000-talent program” Professor at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in China. He is also a Professor at Shanghai Tech University since 2012.
Professor Liu is an expert on solar cell materials and devices, renewable energy, measurement technology of solar cells. His current research interests include high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells, physics of heterojunction structures, standardization of solar cells. He has published a book entitled “Solar cells” and over 100 refereed international journal papers and held 4 Japanese patents and 5 Chinese patents.
Professor Liu has been as a leader investigator for several Japanese and Chinese national projects. He served as committee member in several international conferences. He is the vice chairman of technical committee 82 of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC/TC82).
